This 1977 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau is a great example of the
personal luxury cars that defined the late 1970s, combining
unmistakable styling, V8 power, and a comfortable, well-appointed
interior. Finished in white with a contrasting blue vinyl top, the
Thunderbird has a classic color combination that suits the formal
styling of the Town Landau package exceptionally well. Chrome
bumpers, concealed headlights, opera windows, Landau trim, and
wire-style wheel covers complete the period-correct appearance.
Inside, the Thunderbird features a plush blue velour interior with
the heavily padded seating and generous proportions these cars were
known for. The cabin retains its original-style dashboard,
instrumentation, steering wheel, woodgrain trim, and matching blue
carpeting and door panels. With 86,700 miles showing, the interior
presents as a remarkably complete example of Ford's luxury-focused
design from the era.
Power comes from a 400ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission,
providing the smooth, relaxed driving characteristics expected from
a full-size Thunderbird. Power steering and power brakes make the
car easy to operate and well suited for comfortable cruising.
Adding to its appeal, this Thunderbird is reported to be a
two-owner car and includes its original sales receipt, providing a
nice piece of documentation from when the car was new. With its
Town Landau package, attractive white-and-blue color combination,
400ci V8, and documented ownership history, this 1977 Thunderbird
is a well-preserved piece of 1970s American personal-luxury
motoring.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing,
and/or $240 documentation fees.
