Vehicle Description

--Raven Black over Beige Connoly leather interior with matching Biege Wilton Wool Carpeting, 5.3 liter V8 engine, Automatic transmission, 56,000 miles from new. With an estimated 315bhp available from its 5,340cc four-cam engine, the V8 could reach 100mph in under 14 seconds, running on to a top speed of 160mph, staggering performance for the era. Described by former Aston Martin Chairman Victor Gauntlett as "a stylish thoroughbred, beautifully built, luxurious, fast and immensely safe," the V8 was built in several variants. The most successful Aston Martin ever, the V8 survived the changes of ownership and financial upheavals of the 1970s, enjoying a record-breaking production run lasting from 1974 to 1989, with 2,919 cars sold. This V8 Aston is well known to Autosport Designs Inc., being sold and serviced by us for the past 30 years! Purchase by us in 1996 with 45,000 miles and sold locally to a few collectors and celebrities, it was then re-traded to Autosport and sold to its most recent Virginia owner in 2008 with 54,000 miles. With very limited use since but always serviced and most recently was treated to a carburetor overhaul. An excellent example in completely original/unmolested condition and ready for immediate use and enjoyment. Upgrades include Nardi wooden steering wheel, MSD HO Electronic Ignition system, plus Famously took part in movie "City of Lies" as Forest Whitakers characters personal automobile. Comes complete with copies of its original factory build record, Spare wheel and large history/service file.
