EXTERIOR: She is a stunner! The factory correct Nassau Blue paint
was re-applied with incredible attention to detail then polished to
a smooth and highly reflective finish. All the panel gaps are very
consistent with great alignment throughout. When looking down the
side of the laser straight body you will see smooth contours and
sharp lines. The doors close easily with minimal effort. All the
glass is nice and clear with new rubber seals and fuzzy strips too.
A fresh white soft convertible top easily retracts, plus it also
comes with a removable hard top that was finished to the same
quality as the exterior. It's equipped with the optional side pipes
that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face with every rev of
the engine. It also has an optional power antenna. Both the bumpers
and remaining brightwork all have a glorious shine. It's rolling on
a handsome set of knockoff wheels with spinner caps that are
wrapped in reproduction Goldline tires. They were purchased just 3
years ago with minimal miles driven since.
INTERIOR: Looking fresh! Basically everything has been
professionally restored or replaced. The original AM/FM radio,
gauges, and even the clock were rebuilt and new lenses were
installed. It is equipped with the genuine teakwood steering wheel
which is like new. Outside of the obvious new door panels, dash
pad, upholstery, and carpeting, it's the little things that make
the biggest difference when restoring cars, like all new glove box
hardware for example. The power windows are a much appreciated and
hard to find option as well. Can you already picture yourself
slapping around that 4 speed which has the correct reverse lockout
shifter?
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Originality is key! The numbers matching 327
factory rated at a whopping 375 horsepower has been beautifully
rebuilt and restored with correct parts including the coded and
rebuilt fuel injection system, rebuilt distributor with ignition
shielding, factory style cold air intake system, finned valve
covers, and much more. It runs cool with correct and dated radiator
and expansion tank; correct fan and shroud. The belts and hoses
have been replaced plus the squirters and horns are hooked up. All
the hood hardware has been replaced and functions great. The
underside of the hood, fender wells, and firewall have all been
neatly painted satin black.
UNDERSIDE: Clean and correct! The body was completely removed from
the frame during the restoration. Underneath is highly detailed and
restored to factory specifications. The smooth, solid frame is
finished with clean black paint, while the fiberglass floors are in
their natural raw finish. The independent front and rear suspension
was completely rebuilt and restored, along with the steering
system. It is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes, 1965 was the first
year for this, the entire system has been restored, even the
emergency brake. Looking up at the engine it is spotless Chevy
Orange paint complete with canister style oil filter, lower
ignition shielding and even the proper starter. It retains its
original VIN #-matching Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The
rebuilt driveshaft connects to the original dated and coded 4.11
posi rear end. It's also complete with the correct spare tire
carrier.
