1967 Pontiac GTO - Signet Gold / Black, 400/335HP 4-Speed,
Date-Code-Correct
Celebrity Cars is pleased to offer this 1967 Pontiac GTO, a
Fremont, California-built example finished in its factory-original
Signet Gold over a black bucket-seat interior. This is one of the
cars that made the GTO a legend - the 400 cubic-inch,
335-horsepower V-8 backed by a four-speed manual and a Safe-T-Track
limited-slip rear - and it comes to us with PHS documentation and a
date-code-correct engine.
Accompanying the car is its 1967 Pontiac Car Billing History card
and dealer order copy, which together confirm the original
drivetrain, color, trim, and option content. The engine block
carries the correctWWengine code - the proper code for this
California-emissions, Fremont-assembled GTO - and we believe the
engine date code is correct for the car's October 1966 build.
Backing it is a wide-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a
3.55 Safe-T-Track axle: the desirable performance combination for a
'67 GTO.
The car presents beautifully, having been the subject of a
comprehensive restoration approximately ten years ago, and it has
been well kept since. It runs and drives as a properly sorted GTO
should, with the unmistakable character of the Pontiac 400 and a
shifter that rewards the driver.
Factory equipment when new, per documentation:
- 400 cu in 4-bbl V-8 - 335 HP @ 5000 RPM, 441 lb-ft @ 3400 RPM,
10.75:1 compression
- Date-code-correct engine stamped 1337 WW, matching the billing
card.
- Four-speed manual transmission, wide ratio
- 3.55 rear axle with Safe-T-Track limited slip
- Power steering
- Rally gauge cluster with tachometer
- Soft-Ray tinted glass, all windows
- Pushbutton AM radio with manual antenna
- Console with bucket seats
- Custom front & rear seat belts, deluxe wheel discs
- F70-14 Red Line wide-oval tires
- Signet Gold (code G) exterior / Black (trim 223) interior

The car is also fitted with a Ram Air-style hood, a Hurst shifter,
and a fully functional hood-mounted tachometer. Per the available
documentation, these three items do not appear to have been
original to the car when new and are believed to be later
additions; the original GTO-style wheels are included with the
sale. The odometer shows just over 18,000 miles since the
restoration. While we have made every effort to confirm the details
presented here, we encourage buyers to verify all information
independently. Pre-purchase inspections are welcome and encouraged.
