This custom 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is powered by a Ram
Jet port fuel-injected 454ci V-8 engine paired with a Tremec
six-speed manual transmission and a custom 9-inch Positraction rear
end. The engine compartment features a smoothed firewall,
body-colored inner fenders, custom-painted valve covers, a March
Performance billet serpentine system, Sanderson long-tube headers,
a full 3-inch exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers and a large
aluminum radiator. It is equipped with power steering, four-wheel
power disc brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors, a Ridetech
air suspension system, tubular upper and lower control arms, front
and rear sway bars and a four-link rear suspension. Finished in
Silver Metallic, the body received replacement exterior trim, new
front and rear bumpers, and a billet aluminum rear trim panel
during the restoration. It rides on staggered 18-inch front and
20-inch rear custom Foose wheels with polished barrels and gray
centers. The custom saddle leather interior was designed and built
by Paul Atkins and features a custom leather-wrapped dashboard and
center console, modified Lexus SC400 power seats upholstered in
Mercedes-Benz leather, matching custom door panels, polished trim,
aluminum speaker grilles, chrome door handles and window cranks,
and a suede headliner. Additional interior features include a tilt
steering column with a custom leather-wrapped steering wheel,
Classic Instruments gauges, a Vintage Air climate-control system
with custom knobs, a touchscreen head unit with wireless Apple
CarPlay and a custom sound system. The trunk was finished to match
the interior and features a hidden compartment for the air
suspension tank. It has been driven 73 miles since the build was
complete.
