From 1947 through 1955 The "advance design" pickup was built and
would be the first re-design post WWII and when pick up trucks were
being sold to the masses but still very much working vehicle vs. a
commuter as we see today. The 3600 was a 3/4 ton truck with a
longer wheelbase of 125" vs the 116" of the 1/2 ton model. There
were some slight variations through out the years but remained
mostly the same. For instance, a radio was an option for the first
time in 1947 and in 1951, the trucks had window vents standard.
This particular stunning truck has had restoration some years back
and is still in very good condition both mechanically and
cosmetically. The strong 6-cylinder fires right up and idles
smoothly very quickly. Reverse and first gear are a granny gear and
feels like you could pull a house down. The lights work, has a
really nice restored wood bed, the paint is nice driver quality,
the underside fine, tidy and unmolested engine bay and just
generally a really nice truck. We encourage any questions and
inpsections here in our Traverse City location.
