GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 finished in Brilliant Black over a distinctive two-tone Black leather and Gray suede interior. With 87,000 miles, this Magnum represents one of the coolest performance wagons of the modern era-a combination of American V8 muscle, rear-wheel drive, and genuine everyday practicality that simply isn't built anymore.

Under the hood sits Dodge's legendary 6.1-liter HEMI V8, factory rated at 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a 5-speed automatic transmission, giving the SRT-8 the performance credentials to back up its aggressive appearance. This example has also received a handful of tasteful upgrades, including a cold-air intake, throttle-body spacer, and MagnaFlow exhaust system. The result is an already potent SRT wagon with a little more attitude and a proper HEMI soundtrack.

The SRT treatment went far beyond the engine. These cars received an aggressive front fascia, SRT-specific bodywork, 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, performance-tuned suspension, and dual exhaust. Finished entirely in Brilliant Black with black wheels, this example has a particularly sinister appearance that suits the Magnum's long, low profile exceptionally well.

Inside, the Black leather and Gray suede SRT interior provides a great balance between performance and comfort. Deeply bolstered front seats, SRT instrumentation, power accessories, climate control, and the Magnum's enormous rear cargo area make this a muscle car that can legitimately be used every day. An aftermarket touchscreen head unit has been installed, and a subwoofer is located in the rear cargo area.

Documentation is another strong point of this car. Included with the Magnum are its original owner's books, original window sticker, and an extensive binder of receipts and records dating all the way back to 2006. That kind of long-term documentation is becoming increasingly desirable as clean first-generation SRT vehicles move further into enthusiast and collector territory.

The Magnum SRT-8 was produced for only three model years, and the numbers were low. Approximately 2,970 examples were produced for 2006, followed by roughly 920 for 2007 and just 239 for 2008, putting total SRT-8 Magnum production at only a little over 4,100 vehicles. That makes the 2006 SRT-8 an unusual piece of modern Mopar history: a 425-horsepower HEMI-powered performance wagon with the looks, sound, and practicality to do a little bit of everything. They don't build anything quite like this anymore, and it is increasingly difficult to find one that has been preserved and documented like this example.
