1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk Restomod
Distinctive 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk mounted on a 1986 Chevrolet El Camino chassis. Powered by a 350-cubic-inch V8 paired with a 350 automatic transmission.
This is a unique classic-car build combining the styling of a Studebaker Silver Hawk with the updated chassis and running gear of an 1986 El Camino. A great driver-quality project with many important mechanical and cosmetic upgrades already completed.
This car was professionally built and then kept in a private collection for several years. It has now been thoroughly inspected and gone through by a professional hot-rod mechanic in preparation for sale.
A little about the mechanic and the car’s history: I am a full-time hot-rod mechanic with 37 years of experience in the classic-car field. I manage a private collection of approximately 180 vehicles and maintain and repair a wide variety of makes and models. My experience includes classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and custom builds.
The car has been carefully serviced and is mechanically sound. Recent work includes new tires, a new interior, new brake calipers, rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes, and a new exhaust system currently being installed.
