The Alfa Romeo GT Junior is a descendant of the famous 105 series, which served as a model for Alfa Romeo's golden years. The design came from Giorgetto Giugiaro, who worked at Bertone at the time, and immediately created a timeless classic with its sleek, sporty lines. The Junior versions brought the character of the larger Giulia Sprint GT and GTV within reach of a wider audience, without sacrificing driving pleasure. This GT 1600 Junior from 1975 is powered by the well-known 1600cc four-cylinder engine, linked to a five-speed manual gearbox: a combination that guarantees the lively driving experience that Alfa Romeo is known for. This is an original Dutch car that was restored in the past. Since 1988, the car has been in the hands of the current, second owner, who over the years has, among other things, renewed the exhaust system, replaced various rubbers, renewed the master brake cylinder and brake discs, installed new carburetor rubbers and ball joints, renewed the engine mounts and spring seats, installed new Koni shock absorbers in the front, renewed the heating radiator, had a new electronic ignition installed and had the alternator overhauled.
The red paintwork does justice to the beautiful, muscular lines of this coupe and emphasizes the sporty appearance that is so characteristic of the Junior series. Chrome bumpers and moldings, the characteristic Alfa Romeo grille with the shield-shaped emblem and beautiful alloy wheels complete the picture. Inside, the wooden sports steering wheel is immediately noticeable, which harmonizes beautifully with the wood accents around the instrument panel. The two-tone upholstery in black and gray looks sporty and timeless at the same time and fits in seamlessly with the red exterior. This combination of color and material gives the cabin a warm, classic atmosphere that matches the character of this Alfa.
