Another one bites the dust!
Family medical issues, life changes, and general acceptance of being “15+ years into a 5-year project and only this far along meaning I’ll probably never get it finished” is forcing me to sell my “Mercury project Collection”. I know I could probably make more money doing thatparting everything out, but to be honest, I’m ready to just have it all gone and move on with life!
Both project cars have pretty good metal comparatively, not perfect but better than most. Fenders, dash, etc. are in storage in the attic. For any potentially serious buyer, I will get everything down for inspection or pictures,
Here is a run down of everything I have:
1949 Mercury 4 door Brown Patina, currently a roller. Body is off. Frame pictures are current state. Work may slowly progress depending on how long to sell.
- Original '49 flathead with 4" crank, rebuilt by H&H flatheads
- New Tremec TKX 5 speed transmission
- Brand new Offenhauser 2x2 intake manifold
- Brand new Offenhauser heads
- 2 Stromberg 97 carbs freshly rebuilt to new condition by Max @ 97-express dot com
- EXK Front and rear air bag setup w/ ball jointed upper/lower control arms
- Two 1st gen Camaro front disc brake set-up's - 2 different styles
- Rebuilt 7.65" GM rear end (was going to be a cruiser, not a HP monster)
- White wall tires on new 5 x 4.75 GM steel rims powder coated red.
- New airbags
- New Shoebox Central heavy duty sway bar
- New Shoebox Central steering linkage upgrade kit
- New Shoebox central camber adjustment kit
- New fuel tank and sender
- OEM '49-'50 fender skirts
- Rebuilt stock transmission with 12v OD solenoid.
- Stock Starter converted to 12v.
- 1952 Mercury headlight rings for Frenching headlights
- 1952 Desoto 9 tooth grill and pan- Missing 1 tooth = (
- Car was essentially 98% complete before tear down.
- Lots of other aftermarket and OEM parts

This purchase includes the following:
1950 Mercury 4 door ¾ chassis/parts car Primer Grey
- Good candidate for front clip. It had a poorly done ‘80’s Oldsmobile front clip on it when I bought it.
- I have hood and front fenders as well as splash pan, but not inner fenders.

- Car was approx. 90% complete at time of purchase.
I have plenty of receipts for everything.
Bath cars have clear titles inmy name.
Price is negotable, but please keep in mind the motor and transmission on the '49 are worth more than $10k alone.
