With every passing year, the third generation Camaros continue to
grow in popularity and are becoming more widely sought after in the
collector car market. This 1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS is a very nice
example of these great classic sports cars benefiting from a number
of performance upgrades. This Camaro presents well in its Bright
White exterior paint that is in very good condition throughout with
only minor imperfections to note. The Camaro's White exterior is
nicely complimented by its factory "RS" and "Camaro" badges, Gold
painted front calipers, Gold painted rear brake drums, factory RS
lower body moldings, and a set of American Racing AR-08 wheels
wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires (dated 2016). The Camaro's
factory Grey cloth interior is in very good condition for the age
with the exception of some wear through on the driver side outer
bolster of the driver seat. Powering this great Camaro is a well
built 350 cubic inch V8 that has been bored .040 over and benefits
from a number of upgrades including: flat top forged pistons
(10.4:1 compression ratio), 76cc Vortec heads, roller camshaft,
roller rockers, roller lifters, double roller cam chain, MSD HEI
distributor, Edelbrock polished intake manifold, Edelbrock AVS2
4-barrel carburetor, and shorty headers. Backing the well built 350
cu. in. V8 is the Camaro's rebuilt 700R4 4-speed automatic
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
should and deliver a much more powerful driving experience than
stock. This Camaro delivers a great V8 sound thanks to the built
350 V8 breathing through a custom side exit exhaust system fitted
with Cherry Bomb mufflers. This Camaro is nicely equipped with
options such as: power steering, power front disc brakes, power
windows, tilt steering, AM/FM stereo w/ CD player, heater/defrost,
air conditioning (in-op), intermittent wipers, power door locks,
and in-dash tachometer. Included with the sale of this Camaro is a
collection of receipts from the build and recent maintenance
performed on the Camaro. If you are in the market for a 3rd
generation Camaro with more power than stock and would present well
at your local cruise-in, then you will want to take a very close
look at this 1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS.
