This custom 1949 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is powered by a 350ci V-8
engine equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor, mated to a TH350
automatic transmission with a column shifter and transmission
cooler. The drivetrain includes a custom driveshaft and 10-bolt
rear end with inward-moved leaf springs. It has a GM front
subframe, a 3-inch rear frame notch, new shocks, power steering, a
custom-built heavy-duty radiator, new battery and cables,
firewall-mounted battery tray and GM fuse box. The exhaust uses new
Smitty glasspack mufflers. Stopping is handled by power disc
brakes. The exterior is finished in Electric Blue
basecoat/clearcoat paint and features a chopped top, custom hood,
frenched-in headlamps, new chrome bumpers, new chrome grille, new
handles and custom taillamps. The bed was shortened 3 inches and
fitted with new wood and polished strips, while the fuel tank is
mounted under the bed and the rear bumper was moved inward. Chrome
15-inch wheels are fitted with new radial wide whitewall tires and
spider caps. The interior features new custom tuck-and-roll white
vinyl upholstery with silver flake, new seat upholstery, door
panels, kick panels, Dynamat, carpet and heavy-duty padding.
Additional interior equipment includes polished original dash trim
and glove-box trim, a new glove box, new interior handles, a 1960s
GM steering wheel, tilt steering and a new mirror. A new chrome
steering column, finned valve covers, finned air cleaner and blue
dots are included in boxes. Some glass has been replaced. **VIN
