This 1969 AMC AMX is powered by its rebuilt 390ci V-8 engine with a
camshaft intended to match SS 390 performance and a dual-quad
Holley setup on an early Edelbrock intake marked AM4486228 and with
the name John Ward. The engine is paired with a BorgWarner T10
four-speed manual transmission. The dual-quad linkage was upgraded,
while the original linkage, four-barrel manifold, foot pedals and
rear end cover plate are included as parts. The underside has been
washed, cleaned and detailed, with a light black coating applied to
the metal floors, braces and supports. This AMX was repainted in
its original Big Bad Orange with a black racing stripe and features
Go-Pak Group 19 equipment with spoilers and refinished bumpers. It
retains dash plaque No. 08478 and is an SS dual-quad re-creation
featuring original options and original SS items. It is one of 283
produced in Big Bad Orange. The previous owner had the car for 29
years, and it has been in Iowa, Nebraska and Colorado.
