For as long as the "Big Three" American automotive companies have
been around, there has been a (horse)power struggle between them.
During the horsepower war of the 1960's, each manufacturer was
trying to produce the muscle car with the highest horsepower and
the quickest 1/4 mile time. Thanks to modern technology and the
American need for excessive horsepower, the battle to produce to
the fastest and highest horsepower pony car is very much still
alive. Thanks to this level of competitiveness, Dodge decided to
set a very high bar with the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon; the
very first purpose built drag car with a VIN # and covered under
the manufacturer warranty. This Dodge Challenger Demon comes to us
as an excellent, 2-owner example with just over 2,600 actual miles.
Only 3,312 Demons were produced and of those units, this was the
6th one to roll off the assembly line (Serial #0006). The Pitch
Black exterior on this Demon is in excellent condition with few to
no defects present. The Demon's Pitch Black exterior is
complimented nicely by its Demon emblems on either fender, factory
rear spoiler, factory wide-body kit, Demon-specific large-mouth air
grabber hood, factory chin spoiler and the factory 18" Demon wheels
wrapped in the Demon-spec Nitto NT05 R tires. Dodge added many
special features to the exterior of the car to help set off the
Demon from the other Challengers. Some of the features include: a
wide-body Challenger doing a burnout in the lower left corner of
the windshield, the Demon emblem on the tires, Demon logo in
illuminated Air-Catcher headlamps, and the demon tail embossed on
the 18" Demon wheels. The Demonic Red interior, optioned without a
rear seat, is in like-new condition with no defects or wear
present. Under the hood of the Demon is the very potent 808 HP 6.2
liter Hemi V8 equipped with a massive 2.7 liter supercharger. As if
808 HP wasn't enough for a production street car, that number can
be boosted to a very impressive 840 HP utilizing the alternate PCM
and climate control panel within the Demon Crate (Currently
installed). Backing the monstrous, supercharged Hemi V8 is the
Demon's 8-speed automatic transmission equipped with a transmission
brake from the factory for those fast and hard launches off the
line. Both the engine and transmission perform just as you would
expect from a well-cared for car with just 2,600 miles. Included
with the sale of this Dodge Demon is its numbers matching Demon
Crate. Adding to the collectability of this Dodge Demon is all of
its original documentation since new including: the factory
shipping manifest, original window sticker, original title showing
Gas Monkey Garage as the original owner, owners manual, Demon
performance manual, and factory build sheets. This Dodge Demon is
very well equipped with factory options such as: passenger seat,
Harmon/Kardon AM/FM stereo, power tilt/telescoping steering,
automatic climate control, transmission brake, launch control,
adjustable traction control, SRT drive modes, power steering, power
4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, back-up camera, keyless entry,
remote start, dual power mirrors, steering wheel controls,
heated/cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, trunk carpet kit,
line lock, power driver seat, navigation, and intermittent wipers.
The opportunity to own one of these future pieces of automotive
history does not come along every day and you will be hard pressed
to find an example with a lower serial number. So you are not going
to want to miss your chance to own the first ever production car
with a VIN to pull the front tires off the ground!
