This 1971 Ford Maverick is powered by a freshly rebuilt 200ci Ford
inline-six racing engine backed by a three-speed manual
transmission. The engine has break-in miles and features a rebuilt
carburetor, machined flywheel and aluminum radiator with cooling
fans. The drivetrain was gone through. The exterior paint was
completed by John Bearce Racing and includes John Bearce
Motorsports graphics, No. 170 race markings and contrasting
stripes. The hood and trunk are removable, and the car rides on
racing wheels. The interior is equipped with a roll cage and race
seat. This Salt Flats race car was owned and raced by John Bearce.
