This 1985 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Flatbed is a very nice and very
clean truck that spent its life in Idaho. We were told it was a 2
Owner truck and we purchased from the 2nd owner who did some nice
upgrades to it. We don't get too many 1 Ton trucks and this one is
loaded with factory options. The body on this truck is clean and
straight. The last owner installed a flatbed because he was a
Rancher and he found it more useful. The Flatbed has a built-in
Gooseneck Ball and Hitch. The truck was originally Red & White but
was repainted Red by the 2nd owner because the paint was fading. It
received new side moldings at that time. The rest of the chrome and
trim is original and nice. The underside is clean and we found no
rust issues with this truck.
The interior is also nice. He upgraded the front seat with a more
comfortable model that also has a fold down center console. The
carpet, deluxe door panels, and dash bezel are all original and
nice. The dash was cracked so he installed a factory style dash
cover. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals
are all working. The gauges all work. It has working power windows
and power locks with new actuators. It has tilt wheel and it came
with cruise from the factory but it is not working. The horn and
windshield wipers work. The heat and AC work. It has an aftermarket
radio installed as well.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!! It starts easily and runs
and drives great!! The engine is the 6.2L Diesel with a Banks Turbo
Kit installed by the 2nd owner. This was installed when he had the
GM Crate engine installed. There are around 25,000 miles on the
install and we have the receipt. At that time it received a new
waterpump, new fuel injection pump, and new injectors and
glowplugs. Other recent work includes a new starter, new
alternator, 2 new batteries, a HD radiator, new belts and hoses,
upgraded Fuel Filter and housing, and new power steering lines. The
Banks Turbo system includes Banks Gauges and 3 Inch Exhaust. The
banks system and exhaust gives this truck the extra power that the
Stock 6.2's did not have. It has a Turbo 400 Automatic transmission
that shifts great and it was rebuilt around 16,000 miles ago (have
receipt). It is mated to the np205 transfer case and the 4WD works
like it should. The rear axle is the Corporate 14 Bolt with 4.10
gears. It has the dana 60 KingPin front axle with 4.10 gears. This
is all sitting on a cool set of factory Wheels and Hubcaps with All
Terrain Tires size 235/85/16.
This is an awesome rig for someone!!! We drive what we sell so that
we can give you a first hand and accurate report on how the vehicle
runs and drives. Our pictures are never touched up or photoshopped.
What you see is an accurate representation of the vehicle. We take
consistent pictures and show you everything so you can get a true
representation of the vehicle.
