Built for serious performance without giving up the comfort and
drivability that make the C5 Corvette such a great street car, this
2000 Chevrolet Corvette is a professionally built 700+ horsepower
example showing only 25,344 original miles. Built by East Coast
Superchargers LLC with over $70,000 invested, this Corvette
combines a heavily upgraded LS1, intercooled supercharger system,
supporting fuel and cooling upgrades, transmission work, suspension
changes, and extensive documentation into one very serious street
machine.
The build has accumulated only approximately 3,000 miles since
completion and is supported by receipts and a dyno sheet. Dyno
results show an impressive 703.7 horsepower at 5,775 RPM and 678.1
lb-ft of torque at 5,500 RPM, making it clear that this is far
beyond a lightly modified C5. All performance work was completed by
East Coast Superchargers, giving the next owner the benefit of a
professionally assembled and documented package.
The LS1 has been extensively upgraded with Texas Speed cylinder
heads, camshaft, timing set, roller rockers, pushrods, and
balancer. A Comp Cams camshaft is installed, and the cam card is
included. Additional internal and valvetrain upgrades include new
valve springs and retainers along with a high-volume, high-pressure
oil pump.
Airflow and induction were addressed with a FAST 102mm intake
manifold and throttle body, throttle-body coolant bypass,
Lingenfelter 100mm mass air sensor, and an ECS C5 SL-1500 polished
supercharger system. The supercharger is paired with an intercooler
and special air ducting designed to support consistent performance.
Fuel delivery is handled by FAST 60 lb injectors and an Aeromotive
high-volume fuel pump, while MSD coils and wires support the
ignition system.
Exhaust flow is handled by Kooks 1 7/8-inch stainless long-tube
headers, a Kooks X crossover with spun converters and mid-pipe, and
a B&B stainless Bullet quad exhaust system. The combination
gives the car the aggressive sound and free-flowing exhaust system
expected from a build at this power level.
The automatic transmission has also been upgraded to handle the
additional output, including a high-stall torque converter, shift
kit, and B&M deep transmission oil pan for the 4L60. A
carbon-fiber AutoMeter A-pillar pod houses transmission temperature
and boost gauges, allowing the driver to keep an eye on critical
information while enjoying the car.
Traction and stance were given equal attention. The Corvette has
been lowered at all four corners and rides on custom WeldCraft
Z06-style wheels, including 17x4.5 front wheels with Mickey
Thompson front skinnies and Mickey Thompson ET Street 285/40R18
rear tires. A shifter-mounted line-lock button adds another
performance-oriented feature, while drilled and slotted brake
rotors with red calipers provide improved braking and the right
visual presence behind the wheels.
Finished in black, the exterior presents exceptionally well and
gives the car an understated appearance that only hints at the
performance underneath. A glass targa top provides open-air
versatility, while an added removable interior headliner offers
additional comfort when desired. A tinted front license plate
shield and painted front plate cover are included.
Inside, the car remains comfortable enough for real street use,
with cold air conditioning and the practical layout that makes the
C5 such an enjoyable grand touring platform. A new Optima RedTop
battery has also been installed. The car has been garage kept, and
a California Car Cover is included with the sale.
A clean CARFAX and AutoCheck, extensive build receipts, dyno
documentation, and the low original mileage help set this Corvette
apart from the typical modified C5. With over $70,000 invested,
professional work by East Coast Superchargers, more than 700
horsepower, and only about 3,000 miles on the build, this is a
thoroughly developed street car that delivers supercar-level
straight-line performance while retaining the comfort, removable
roof, and everyday usability that made the C5 Corvette such a
successful platform.
