DESCRIPTION:
1959 Chevrolet Corvette Street Machine Project powered by a Holley Sniper EFI fuel-injected 383 cu. in. Chevy ‘Stoker’ motor and backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a narrowed Oldsmobile rear differential. This car is being sold off as part of an estate and information about the car is limited. There is ‘zero’ miles so far on the car and many extra parts included with the sale such as another hood, trunk lid, and convertible top frame. The overall condition of the car is ‘Fair’ with what appears to be new wiring, frame and suspension components. The Corvette does start and run (see video) but does need additional work which includes a battery. No documentation on the build is available. The ’59 has a clear West Virginia title.

The Chevrolet 383 ‘Stroker’ V-8 is treated to an aluminum radiator, Holley EFI Electronic Fuel-Injection, Weiand aluminum intake manifold, AFR (Air Fuel Research) Aluminum cylinder heads, hydraulic roller cam (unknown manufacturer & specs), electronic ignition, ceramic coated headers, and side exhaust. Fuel system appears new including the gas tank and lines.
The Turbo 400 transmission has a shift kit and a 2500 rpm stall converter.
The frame and suspension appear to be new and painted in gloss black with stock front end and manual steering 4-wheel power disc brakes, new brake lines and hardware, narrowed ’57 Oldsmobile rear differential with a triangulated 4-link, adjustable coil over shocks, 3.73:1 gears and a Track Tech locker, air bags with the compressor in the trunk. Cooper radial tires measure 215/70R/15 front and 295/50R/15 rear.
The Corvette body appears to be in ‘Fair’ condition with various areas of bodywork started (see photos). Windows are in good shape, both passenger and driver’s windows go up and down, front grille and bumper are chrome, rear bumpers are painted. Exterior lights, brake, and turn signals function. As mentioned above an extra hood, top boot, trunk lid, and convertible top frame are included.
The seats and door panels look okay as well as the dash and interior trim. It is not known if the speedometer/odometer function, but most of the aftermarket gauges such as the tachometer, fuel, ammeter, water temperature, oil pressure, and vacuum appear to work and have been mounted in place of the factory gauges. The Holley computer screen has been mounted and functions. An extra original dash pod is included too.
There are several boxes of parts which include door hardware and trim which go with the car too.
