GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1949 Ford Tudor for your
consideration. This Ford comes in a beautiful Bursting Blue
Metallic exterior over a clean Gray and Blue interior. Powering
this Tudor is a 239 cubic inch Flathead V8 paired with a T-5
5-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. This Ford has
been garage kept and features a 1950s deck lid, 1951 bumpers,
original pedal assembly, custom stencil roof work, white wall
tires, full-size spare tire, and chrome front and rear bumpers. The
car was repainted two years ago, received a new interior two years
ago, and had new tie rods and drag links installed two years ago.
The engine was rebuilt four years ago, and this well-cared-for Ford
has been thoughtfully maintained throughout. Drive this one out of
our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in
the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any questions or
for more information.
The 1949 Ford represented a major change for Ford Motor Company,
introducing an all-new postwar design that moved away from the
styling of the prewar era. The new Ford featured integrated front
fenders, a wider body, and a modernized appearance that helped
establish the styling direction Ford would follow into the 1950s.
The Tudor sedan was one of several body styles offered for 1949 and
provided practical seating and a spacious interior in a stylish
two-door package. Ford's proven 239 cubic inch Flathead V8 was used
in these cars, continuing the company's long-running tradition of
offering V8 power to a wide range of buyers. Today, the 1949 Ford
is recognized as an important postwar American automobile and is a
popular choice among classic car enthusiasts and hot rod
builders.
