For Sale: 2000 Ford F150 in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

2000 Ford F150 Harley Davidson Extended Cab 4x2 FlareSide Short Bed Pickup

In 2016, Barrett-Jackson auctioned off a 2000 Ford F150 HD edition that was titled to Jay Leno for charity. Not only was it Jay's, but it was the first production F150 Harley Davidson and the only 2000 model that was equipped with the Lightning's supercharged powertrain. The supercharger would show in future HD's beginning in 2002 and the Harley Davidson partnership would continue to the 2012 model year.

For consignment, a 2000 Ford F150 Harley Davidson Edition Extended Cab 4x2 FlareSide short bed pickup, whew! That's a long name for a cool truck! This one has a title verified 56,420 actual miles. When the standard cab Lightning simply won't do, put the kids and dog in the back seat of this one and hit the road!

Exterior
More than three million Ford 150's were sold between 2000 and 2003, all with essentially the same basic headlights and grille, so you know they hit a home run. The Harley takes it a step further with a sporty chin spoiler, embedded foglights and horizontal strakes in an upper and lower grille. While it lacks the cladding of the lower Lightning, the chrome step bars give it a lower profile, and the flare side provides an indented step for easy access to the bed. The bed is covered in a glossy black Leer fiberglass top which is underscored by the orange stripe that continues to the front fender. 20-inch chrome wheels carry 275/40R20 tires with an early 2020 date code and other metal shine is found in the epic Harley shield on each fender. The body and paint are in very good shape with some imperfections noted as crazing and water spots on the tonneau, scuffs, scratches and chips throughout.

Interior
We'll start in the bed that is clean and protected not only by the hard tonneau, but on the floor by a Harley branded rubber mat and lined on the walls with molded plastic. A sea of Charcoal Black waits for you on the inside where this one demonstrates luxury a full model year before the King Ranch was introduced. Smooth and purpose built door panels retain the oval switchgear synonymous with Ford at the time and up front, tall black leather buckets with armrests take center stage, with tuck and roll inserts and Harley logos on the seat back, all amongst some heavy cushioning. Some light patina creasing is noted on the driver seat but they are in great shape and the rear seats, much smaller but configured with tuck and roll, look virtually unused. Up front, it's straight forward with a robust steering wheel fronting a standard instrument cluster while the center stack integrates an AM/FM/Cassette/CD radio and A/C triple knob panel. Black carpet covers the floor along with Harley mats and a barefoot gas pedal loom in the footwell. Up above, an overhead console offers lights and storage below the foam backed headliner, all in good shape.

Drivetrain
Under the hood, Ford's 5.4 liter SOHC V8 produces 260 horsepower and is fueled through injection. It's mated to a 4R70W 4-speed automatic transmission routing power to 3.55 gears and TracLoc in back. The bay is wonderfully clean.

Undercarriage
Clean and dry underneath with only the typical surfacer rust. A single exhaust runs through the original equipment muffler which emits two tailpipes that terminate through tandem chrome tips behind the rear wheel. Four wheel power disc brakes are provided and suspension includes coil springs up front and leaf springs in back, with a G-force suspension kit added.

Drive-Ability
The comfortable interior is definitely a step up from your working grade F150 of the era and the 5.4 delivers a smooth ride with decent power, straight tracking, and on high visibility. It's clear this truck's been pampered and as a result, all functions on board operate as intended. Our motorcycle room is too small and too full for this F150, so it'll be in the truck showroom! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

A design this good with its black paint, chrome wheels, and extended fascia, it still looks good today and for performance truck lovers, special to see in the wild, which is not all that uncommon; evidence of a great vehicle! This does everything you want it to, even haul stuff in the bed and tow with the standard receiver in back.
