DESCRIPTION:
1966 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Street SHOW & GO machine from Rod Saboury’s ‘Extreme Corvette Shop’, professionally built with less than 500 miles since it was completed 5 years ago. This Corvette was an original Big Block 427 convertible but later converted to an NHRA Super Stock drag car and raced on the West Coast. It was then purchased by the current owner and everything on this Corvette has been changed and/or upgraded to make it the show & go car it is today. The only item which has not been changed is the House of Color Candy metal flake red paint job done by Travis “Tuki” Hess at Bucky’s LTD. It still looks as great as it did 15 years ago. This ’66 is street driven and has only been on the track twice since completed. Never raced in competition in its current configuration.

To duplicate this Corvette today would cost more than 2 ½ times the asking price. Most of the receipts and engine dyno sheets are included in the sale. As well as an extra set of bead lock wheels w/drag radials and custom hood latches for racing.
Specifications on the Corvette are listed below, but here are some highlights.
Completely new 427 cu in Chevy small block boasting 700+ (dyno’d) horsepower, new ATI ‘bulletproof’ Power Glide transmission, new front and rear suspensions. Custom headers, Chrome plated fiberglass front bumpers, new interior, and new wiring harness. Car weighs 2,800# w/o driver.
The only imperfections are a small chip on the hood and two small cracks on the dashboard handle (see photos).
Body & Paint:
It appears the car was never in an accident and all the original bonding strips are in place. Two-stage urethane House of Color candy metal flake red, Chrome plated fiberglass front bumpers, Detroit Speed headlight motors, new wiring harness throughout, new gas cap, tag assembly, and rear bumpers.
Engine & Transmission:
Gary Swenson 400 cu in small block bored and stroked to 427. 13.94:1 forged pistons, Sig Erson solid roller cam intake duration & lift 286 & .713”; exhaust duration & lift 278 & .714”. Dart aluminum cylinder heads, Ferrea valves, Custom painted aluminum valve covers by Bucky’s LTD to match car, 950 cfm Brawler carburetor, braided fuel lines, electric water pump, over-sized aluminum radiator (car runs at 185 degrees), custom 16 gallon stainless steel gas tank, high performance fuel delivery system, custom headers and 3” chambered sidepipes with quick-change collectors and rocker panel molding.
Professionally built ATI aluminum 2-speed bullet-proof Power Glide with 4500 rpm stall converter and transmission cooler. Transmission brake.
Chassis:
Completely new front end including steering box, bushings, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system with stainless steel lines. Frame was reinforced and back-halved with new triangulated 4-bar rear suspension with QA1 coil over shocks, 9” Ford differential, 4.56:1 posi traction gears, and wheelie bars. RC Comp Torx wheels with 6.00/15 Sportsman front tires and 21/6.50R/15 rear.
Interior:
Completely new interior including refurbished factory gauges, aftermarket AutoMeter tachometer, oil pressure, water temperature, trans temperature, brake pressure, and GPS speedometer. NHRA certified roll cage w/net, new carpeting, seats, door panels, window cranks, door handles, and sill plates.
