1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 — Numbers Matching, EFI, Rust-Free Frame, Excellent Drive Offered for sale is my 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, an original, numbers-matching example with a solid, rust-free frame, excellent running gear, and authentic preserved patina. There are many already painted, some now knowing what is covered up. This is not a freshly restored trailer queen. It is an honest, usable FJ40 that has been mechanically sorted and thoughtfully upgraded while retaining the character and appearance that make the 40 Series so desirable.
The truck runs and drives exceptionally well. The original 2F engine is equipped with electronic fuel injection (EFI), electronic ignition, and an electric fuel pump. It starts, runs, shifts, steers, brakes, and drives as it should. Most of its life was in Arizona and now resides in South Carolina. There are not many available with this little limited amount of sheet pan rust while the frame has no scaling.

Condition Disclosure There are a few small holes in the floorboards, which are shown in the photographs. The frame remains solid and rust-free. The auxiliary fuel filler neck is still installed, but the auxiliary fuel tank is missing and is not included. The speedometer has been replaced and currently shows 5,893 miles. The mileage should therefore be considered unknown.
I have photographed the truck's exterior, interior, engine compartment, underside, frame, floorboards, drivetrain, and identification markings so prospective buyers can see the truck's condition for themselves. Overall This FJ40 is a great combination of originality, mechanical reliability, usable upgrades, and authentic vintage appearance. It has the look of a classic Land Cruiser without requiring the buyer to immediately undertake a major restoration. It is ready for weekend cruising, trail use, shows, or simply enjoying one of Toyota's most iconic 4x4s.
