For Sale: 1961 Cadillac Series 62 in Pembroke, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

John E. Nesbitt was a successful realtor located in Wellesley Hills Massachusetts, a well known affluent town. John decided he needed a car to fit the bill considering his clientele and location. He walked into the famed Peter Fuller Cadillac in downtown Boston back in 1962 and picked out this Ebony Black Series 62 four door hardtop. A suitable ride, any successful realtor would have been proud to drive. John and his family kept this car in their possession for several decades until his passing and the car was then sold to a neighbor who had longed for the car since he first laid eyes on it back when John drove it home from Peter Fuller.

At that point a very original, unrestored car. The second caretaker had the car repainted it's original shade of black, replaced it's old tires, changed the original Hydra-Matic automatic transmission out for a more modern Turbo 350 transmission and replaced the original carburator with an off the shelf Edelbrock unit (Original air cleaner assembly is included but original carburator is MIA). The rest of the car remains amazingly original which includes the interior! This is a very nice high end driver. Not a show car but nothing to even remotely be ashamed of. The next caretaker of this car will be one proud person. The odometer reads just 18,736 miles and I'm being told it's original but won't make that guarantee myself. The clean Massachusetts title we hold also states that is actual mileage. Just no documentation to prove it so I won't. That's a daring claim but will tell you there are some signs on this car that lead me to believe it could be true. Like pedal and interior condition.

Well maintained and serviced. The transmission has been rebuilt by Hyannis Transmission. Brakes, suspension and cooling system all attended too. This is a very turn key car. Especially with it's electric fuel pump. Awesome cold starts.

All the power windows, seat and antenna work no problem. Original radio too. Even the original clock works with some prodding. This is a non A/C car from the factory.

A super nice cruiser. Glides down the highway like glass. No hiccups. Some flaws in the older repaint. Some rust bubbles at lower left fender and a couple of cracks in the original dash pad. Check out my YouTube walk around video on my YouTube channel.
