1968 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS/SS CONVERTIBLE 4-SPEED, DELUXE HOUNDSTOOTH INTERIOR This is a very sharp looking Camaro RS/SS convertible. It is finished in a factory color Matador Red. Looking down both sides it is straight. The paint is very smooth and has a glossy finish. The Black SS stripes running across the nose and down both sides stand out against the red exterior. The Black convertible manual top is nice and tight and has a clear back window. All the brightwork has been polished like chrome. It has rechromed front and rear bumpers. The hideaway headlights work as they should. It rides on a set of 15x7 Chevy Rally wheels with new trim rings, center caps and a newer set of 235/60/15 Cooper Cobra GT radial tires. The Black Houndstooth interior is in great shape. It has new seat upholstery and cushions. The dash area is clean. The Black Deluxe interior door panels and dash pad are in great shape. The 4-speed console is in excellent shape as well. It has a working retro AM/FM radio, factory one year only 3 spoke SS steering wheel, Deluxe front and rear GM seat belts. The engine compartment is detailed nicely with its period-correct 350 ci/295 hp engine, suffix code HA and casting number 3932388. It has correct valve covers, factory snorkel air cleaner, Rochester carburetor, correct factory exhaust manifolds, GM hoses and correct tower clamps. It also features a cadmium plated brake booster with new master cylinder and correct portioning valve, power steering and power front disc brakes. Everything is nice and tidy and has a nice satin black finish. The undercarriage is very impressive. The floors look to be original and all clean metal, no patches, no undercoating very clean. The floor pans, braces, rocker and frame rails and even the lower inner quarters show no signs of rust repairs. The front end steering components and suspension have all been replaced. There is a newer fuel tank, sending unit and straps. The E-brake assembly is complete and working as well. The front has power disc brakes. Looking up at the motor, it is clean along with the M20 Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. There is a 12-bolt, BU code 3:73:1 posi rear end. It also has the correct dual exhaust system with transverse muffler and correct tail pipes that dump behind the rear wheels. The E-brake assembly is complete and working. The trunk is clean metal. It is complete with a trunk mat, spare tire and jack assembly with lug wrench. This is an awesome car!
