This 1968 International Scout is powered by a fully built GM
5.3-liter LS V-8 engine paired with a GM 4L60E automatic
transmission, both professionally tuned and refurbished. It was
completed as a 2-year ground-up build, with the exterior stripped
to bare metal and a modern Jeep Rubicon chassis installed. Power is
transferred through a heavy-duty torque converter and Lokar shifter
to an NP241 transfer case and Tom Wood custom driveshaft. The
chassis is equipped with Dana 44 axles, electric lockers, 4.10
gears, an ARV 2.5-inch lift and heavy-duty steering. Braking is
handled by a custom hydro-boost system with all-new heavy-duty
brakes. The exterior is finished in paint-to-sample Mint Green
Pearl and features custom bumpers, a unique grille, rear toolboxes,
TruckLite LED headlights and a removable SofTopper roof. It rides
on 17-inch Mopar steel wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country
285/75R17 tires. The new custom Saddle leather interior features a
Tuffey center console, an integrated six-point roll cage, a Flaming
River steering column, a Vintage Air climate-control system, Dakota
Digital gauges, a Forever Sharp wood steering wheel and chrome
accents throughout.
