This 1973 Dodge Charger is powered by its original matching-numbers
400ci Magnum V-8 engine mated to an upgraded Tremec five-speed
manual transmission. The engine was bored .030 and features an
Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold, Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor and performance headers. A dual exhaust system is
installed. The Charger is equipped with power steering, front and
rear sway bars and a 28-inch-radius radiator. The original
matching-numbers A833 four-speed manual transmission and original
manifold are included. The exterior is finished in factory Bright
Red with Rallye Package treatment, a white vinyl top, dual painted
racing mirrors, a power-bulge hood with hood pins and Rallye wheels
that were sandblasted then refinished to factory specifications
with new trim rings. Daytona Radial white-letter tires are mounted
on the wheels. The interior was completed by J4 Customs LLC in
Raleigh, North Carolina, and features white bucket seats, black
carpeting, an original Rallye Instrument Cluster, AM radio and
three-speed wipers. J4 Customs LLC also completed the engine,
engine bay and trunk. The trunk houses the original jack and spare
tire. The VIN and body tags have been decoded, with the
documentation included. Of 45,415 Rallye coupes produced in 1973,
2,020 had 400ci four-barrel engines and 396 of those had the A833
four-speed manual transmission. The car was purchased from a father
and son, who owned it for 29 years. 79,886 actual miles.
