This 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider is powered by a twin-turbocharged
3.8-liter V-8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft and dry-sump
lubrication producing a factory-rated 616hp and 443 lb-ft of
torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed
dual-clutch automatic transaxle. McLaren's ProActive Chassis
Control system provides adjustable ride and suspension settings.
Stopping power is provided by six-piston front and four-piston rear
calipers over rotors measuring 14.6 inches in front and 13.7 inches
in the rear. Finished in McLaren Orange, the exterior is equipped
with a power-operated folding hardtop, bi-xenon headlights,
dihedral doors, a single pantograph windshield wiper, an active
rear spoiler, front and rear parking sensors, heated
power-adjustable side mirrors and dual exhaust outlets. It features
an F1-style one-piece molded carbon-fiber tub and plastic composite
body panels, along with Stealth-finished 19- and 20-inch five-spoke
lightweight forged wheels mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires. The
cockpit houses bucket seats upholstered in black leather with
orange stitching, piping and accents. The Carbon-Fiber Interior
Upgrade added carbon-fiber trim to the center stack, center console
and door panels. Other appointments include seat-position memory,
dual-zone automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment
system, navigation and a Meridian sound system. The leather- and
suede-wrapped carbon-fiber steering wheel carries a pair of paddle
shifters and fronts a central tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline,
an inset digital speedometer and dual multifunction screens. The
car is also equipped with Launch Control and Electronic Stability
Control (ESC), which includes Winter, Normal, Sport and Track
modes. 15,375 actual miles.
