Extensive Performance Documentation
Professionally Built LT1 Performance Package
This Camaro separates itself from the typical modified SS through
the quality and documentation of its powertrain build. An LSXperts
invoice totaling approximately $16,627 documents a comprehensive
Gen V LT1 performance program incorporating internal engine work,
induction improvements, exhaust upgrades, supporting components,
professional installation, and dyno calibration.
At the center of the build is the LSXperts Gen V LT1 6.2L "Shake N'
Bake" camshaft package, installed in conjunction with a DOD/AFM and
VVT delete. The work included professional assembly and
installation along with the associated service components, fluids,
NGK spark plugs, and MSD plug wires.
The factory LT1 cylinder heads were sent out for professional port
and polish work, further improving airflow through the naturally
aspirated combination.
On the induction side, the engine utilizes an MSD Atomic AirForce
intake manifold, a large Nick Williams 103mm throttle body, and a
Roto-Fab cold-air intake system. A Mighty Mouse Solutions WILD
catch-can system adds crankcase ventilation support appropriate for
a modified direct-injected LT1.
The valvetrain was further upgraded with a Brian Tooley Racing LT
rocker/trunnion package, professionally assembled and installed as
part of the build. A Mishimoto 180-degree thermostat was also
incorporated into the combination.
Kooks Stainless Exhaust
Exhaust flow is handled by a premium Kooks stainless-steel
long-tube header system with 3-inch GREEN catted connection
pipes.
Combined with the factory dual-mode performance exhaust, the system
gives this LT1 the breathing capacity needed to support the
heads-and-cam combination while retaining a sophisticated
street-car presentation.
Documented Dyno Performance
The build was professionally dyno tuned, and the included Dynojet
sheet documents three stages of performance:
That represents approximately 135 additional rear-wheel horsepower
over the documented baseline in its E85 configuration.
For a naturally aspirated Gen V LT1 combination, these are serious
numbers-particularly in a 6-speed manual Camaro.
Documentation
One of the most important aspects of this car is the paper trail
accompanying the performance work. Included with the Camaro are the
LSXperts build invoice, Dynojet results, photographs documenting
the engine work, installation paperwork, factory window sticker,
and additional supporting records.
The LSXperts paperwork documents approximately $16,627 in invoiced
work and specifically identifies the camshaft package, AFM/DOD/VVT
deletion, cylinder-head work, Kooks exhaust, MSD induction
components, Roto-Fab intake, BTR valvetrain upgrades, cooling
modifications, catch-can system, installation labor, and
professional dyno tuning.
That documentation gives the next owner something particularly
valuable in the modified-car market: a verifiable build history
from a recognized LS/LT performance shop.
A Serious Naturally Aspirated Sixth-Gen SS
With its ported heads, LSXperts camshaft package, upgraded
valvetrain, 103mm throttle body, MSD intake manifold, Kooks
long-tube exhaust, Roto-Fab intake, supporting modifications,
professional tuning, and documented 561.8 rear-wheel horsepower,
this is substantially more than a cosmetic 2SS.
Add the 6-speed manual transmission, premium 2SS equipment, Red Hot
finish, extensive documentation, and strong factory option list,
and the result is an exceptionally well-rounded modern muscle car
that offers both collector appeal and the kind of naturally
aspirated performance that is becoming increasingly difficult to
find.
