'Ponton' Cabriolet is a beautiful driver wearing a quality older
restoration. Striking black with red leather interior. Just out of
an estate where it's been under the same ownership for over 30
years. It was restored by Faucet Motors of Ontario Canada about 20
years ago. Nice paint, chrome, soft-top and interior. Straight body
with good panel fit and door gaps. Clean and solid undercarriage.
It starts right up, drives great, and would be a lovely addition to
any collection. First introduced in
1956, the Mercedes-Benz 220S sat atop the 220 model range and was
the last of the Ponton? series cars. Featuring a unitized
body/frame construction and a fully independent suspension, the
220S provided the kind of motoring experience that Mercedes-Benz?s
demanding clients had come to expect of the brand. As one of only
1,251 Mercedes-Benz 220S Cabriolets produced, these elegant and
exclusive limited edition Grand Tourers are highly
