I am the second owner on this 1969 Chevelle. My father and I bought it around 1998 from the first owner (California). The car was actually built and first sold in late 1968. I drove this thing thru high school and college. My pops and I fully restored the car. We put tons of cash into her throughout the decades. I put in a ZZ383 stroker. rebuilt the transmission, rebuilt the rear end making it comparable to limited slip... We had it professionally painted and the exterior gone through. No Bondo! I had four way disk brakes installed after realizing this car is starting to get a little bit too fast. I also put in electric cutouts to let her be loud when appropriate. She is still in beautiful shape and runs fine. I think I am approaching 100k invested in this car. I have most of the receipts from the last 20 plus years. Lastly, although I moved to Colorado in 2021, the chevy has never been registered or driven here. The title is clean, free and clear. No outstanding debts. My California plates are still on it. In California you can only have "69" on the plate if the car is a 1969.
