Built as a tribute to one of the most important names in Trans-Am
racing history, the 2007 Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition
Mustang S302 is one of the most distinctive and collectible modern
Mustangs of its era. This example is Parnelli Jones Limited Edition
#07-0235, is signed by both Steve Saleen and Parnelli Jones, and
shows just 7,433 original miles. Finished in exclusive Grabber
Orange with a black hood stripe, it combines unmistakable 1970 Boss
302-inspired styling with serious Saleen performance engineering
and extensive documentation, including its original Saleen window
sticker.
Under the hood is Saleen's 5.0-liter S302 high-compression
three-valve V8, rated at 400 horsepower at 6,000 RPM and 390 lb-ft
of torque at 4,000 RPM. Supporting upgrades include Saleen
performance calibration, high-flow exhaust, and distinctive Saleen
302 valve covers. Power is sent through a five-speed manual
transmission fitted with a Saleen quick-ratio shifter, while a 3.73
limited-slip rear differential helps put the power to the pavement.
The result is a raw, engaging driving experience that feels far
more special than a standard Mustang GT.
The Saleen Racecraft suspension package was engineered to sharpen
every aspect of the chassis. It includes Saleen front and rear
springs, front struts, rear shocks, a front sway bar with
high-durometer bushings, and a Watts-link rear suspension. Braking
was also significantly upgraded with 14-inch slotted and vented
front discs and four-piston front calipers, giving the car stopping
power to match its performance. Saleen 19-inch aluminum wheels are
wrapped in 275/40ZR19 front and 285/40ZR19 rear tires, giving the
Mustang a purposeful stance and excellent grip.
Visually, the Parnelli Jones Edition is impossible to mistake for
anything else. The Grabber Orange paint, black hood stripe, Saleen
front fascia with air dam, hood pins, rear fascia, rear spoiler,
quarter window panels, PJ Edition grille, and unique exterior
graphics all pay tribute to Parnelli Jones' legendary 1970 Trans-Am
championship Mustang. A commemorative "1970" championship wreath
adds another distinctive touch. The original "15" racing decals
were never installed and are included with the car, allowing the
next owner to preserve them or complete the full race-inspired
appearance.
Inside, the black and orange leather interior continues the tribute
theme with Saleen/PJ Edition sport seats and Parnelli Jones
signature-embroidered headrests. Additional special-edition details
include the PJ steering wheel, shift knob, gauge cluster, aluminum
pedals, floor mats, and numbered console plaque. Air conditioning,
power steering, and an AM/FM/CD audio system provide enough comfort
to make the car enjoyable on the road without diluting its
performance character.
Documentation and provenance are major strengths of this example.
The original Saleen window sticker is included and shows an
original Saleen MSRP of $60,565. The car is also signed by both
Steve Saleen and Parnelli Jones, adding another level of collector
appeal. A clean CARFAX complements its exceptionally low mileage
and well-preserved condition.
With only 7,433 original miles, special-edition number 07-0235,
dual signatures, original documentation, and the unused "15" racing
decals, this 2007 Saleen/Parnelli Jones Mustang S302 offers an
exceptional opportunity for the serious Mustang or Saleen
collector. It combines limited-production significance,
championship-inspired styling, 400-horsepower performance, and
unmistakable provenance in a modern muscle car that is becoming
increasingly difficult to duplicate.
