For Sale at Auction: 1965 Lincoln Continental in Las Vegas, Nevada

Vehicle Description

This 1965 Lincoln Continental convertible is powered by a 430ci V-8 engine equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and factory-rated at 320hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, paired with a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and factory 2.89:1 rear end. It is one of 3,356 four-door convertibles built for the 1965 model year. This Continental also carries DSO code 84, as a Home Office Reserve designation indicating it was not intended for standard retail sale but for special promotion or Ford executive management. This Lincoln is an unrestored and well-kept survivor and retains its original factory drivetrain. It is equipped with power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, as well as power-assisted steering. The black exterior features the iconic rear-hinged rear "suicide" doors, a power-folding white soft-top, quad headlights, distinctive flat chrome grille, chrome-ribbed taillights, chrome-trimmed knife-edge upper fender lines running the length of the car, factory-installed windshield-mounted dual spotlights, chrome front and rear bumpers, and bright lower bodyside moldings. Factory 15-inch steel wheels wear Lincoln-branded full covers and Firestone wide whitewall tires. As a Home Office Reserve car, it is highly optioned with the cabin outfitted in special order trim code 26, white leather with black complements, also unrestored. It features matching door panels, wood-grain trim, a black dashboard and black carpeting. Interior equipment includes dual six-way power seats with a center console, front and rear armrests, power windows (including the vent windows), an analog clock and a push-button AM/FM radio with power antenna. A plaque bearing the Lincoln insignia and the name of first retail owner Kenneth M. Ryberg is affixed to the dashboard. The seller has owned this original survivor Lincoln for 20 years. The sale includes an original 1965 Lincoln marketing brochure.
