This vehicle is a true GTO evidenced by the VIN stating with
242. This is car has a 400 c.i. V8 engine (the ID code on
the block is "YS" which identifies it as a 400 c.i. engine with a
10.5 to 1 high compression engine) and it has a three-speed
automatic transmission. The odometer reading is 18982.
The original bumper has been replaced with a Lemans bumper,
otherwise it's very stock. It has power
steering, power seats, tilt steering column, stereo system with
cassette and aftermarket Pioneer radio, working heater, and
air-conditioning. The crank windows work fine,
door locks and wiper work as they should. The turn
signals work, however the left front bulb needs to be
replaced. The white vinyl interior is in fair
condition. The exterior blue and white paint is
in fair condition with scratches throughout the vehicle, with some
touch up paint areas visible. There are no dents and no
rust. There is a leak at the water pump and/or oil
pan. The fluids are at a medium
level. The lights work, however the left rear brake light
is very dim, but still working. The antenna
works. There is an owner's manual. There is a spare tire,
car jack and tools. The tires are in fair condition with a
manufacturer's date of 1121 front and 1131 rear. The
tires clearly show their age and probably need to be replaced for
safety reasons. The rims are in good condition with very
light scratches. Overall, the car is fairly
intact. It needs some tender loving care to be a great
weekend driver. It runs okay and would run
better with new gas. IT IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO
GET AN INDEPENDENT THIRD-PARTY INSPECTION ON ANY USED
CAR.
