This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by its matching-numbers
327/300hp V-8 engine paired with a close-ratio Muncie four-speed
manual transmission and a 3.70:1 Positraction rear end. During a
body-off restoration completed by The Corporation of Horse Pasture,
Virginia, from 1998-99, the chassis was cleaned, painted and
reassembled with new bushings, U-joints, shocks, springs, GM
trailing arms, rebuilt stainless-steel brake calipers, new fuel and
brake lines, factory-correct markings and a new fuel tank. The
exterior was refinished in two coats of red followed by two coats
of clear and then buffed and polished. It is equipped with bolt-on
knock-off wheels, backup lamps and side pipes. The interior
features new black leather bucket seats, functional gauges and
clock, along with restored windshield wiper and headlamp motor
