This 1950 Ford Van Pelt custom fire truck nicknamed Ol' Hozer is
powered by a 500hp LS 6.0-liter engine paired with a 4L80E
automatic transmission. The frame-swapped build was completed 2.5
years ago as a ground-up build. It is equipped with full AccuAir
air-ride suspension. The truck rides on custom 24-inch wheels with
dually rear wheels. It is fitted with an original growler siren and
a modern siren system, and all lights are functional. The interior
is equipped with two Bluetooth stereo systems; one located in the
front cab and one in the rear. The onboard pumps have been removed,
although the plumbing remains in place for reinstallation if
desired. This custom fire truck was built for first-responder shows
and events and was in service in Auburn, California, from 1950-88.
It has been driven less than 500 miles since build completion.
