This 1985 Volkswagen Type II custom microbus is powered by a fully
rebuilt factory-original 1,800cc air-cooled four-cylinder engine
producing approximately 95hp, paired with a restored four-speed
manual transmission and a new performance shifter. Performance
upgrades include dual Weber 40 carburetors, an aluminum crankshaft
pulley, upgraded alternator pulleys, a new distributor, ignition
coil, spark plugs and ignition wires. The steering, suspension,
electrical and structural systems were completely restored or
rebuilt. A remote-controlled air-ride suspension system includes
airbags, a compressor, tank, valve block and electronic management
for adjustable ride height. The braking system was completely
restored or rebuilt. The hand-restored body is finished in
Volkswagen Metallic Pyrite Silver and features a large retractable
panoramic canvas sunroof, double passenger doors and chrome-trimmed
front-opening safari-style windshields. It rides on new tires
mounted to 15-inch Gas Burner-style alloy wheels with a 5x112 bolt
pattern. The redesigned cabin features restored factory-style
seating for nine passengers with rebuilt springs, new foam and
eco-friendly vinyl upholstery in Pyrite Silver and dark gray.
Traditional Volkswagen stitching is joined by custom Ivory door
panels and a matching headliner. A modern multimedia system
features a touchscreen display and GPS. The electrical system was
upgraded to 12 volts. This Volkswagen was comprehensively restored
and professionally customized by A&J Revival and is certified
by VW Brazil, verifying its specifications and restoration.
