This 1970 Chevrolet C10 short-bed pickup is powered by a built
Chevrolet 5.7-liter small-block V-8 engine backed by a
column-shifted 700R4 automatic transmission. The color-matched
engine features FiTech fuel injection with an in-cab controller, a
billet serpentine pulley system, Chevrolet Performance valve covers
and a new aluminum radiator with dual SPAL electric fans. A Borla
exhaust system handles the exhaust. The chassis features a 2-inch
drop on factory springs and was stripped to a bare frame, blasted
and finished in custom color-matched paint. It also has
color-matched undercoating and an undercarriage finished to match.
A Wilwood master cylinder operates the front disc brakes. This
original big-back-window pickup recently completed a full
frame-off, nut-and-bolt build by DT Classic Auto of Salt Lake City,
Utah. The body received new cab corners, rockers, bed metal and a
new tailgate, along with a smoothed firewall painted to match the
exterior. It is finished in custom PPG two-tone paint with a new
grille, bumpers and exterior trim, smoked door and rear glass,
fresh door gaskets and a custom oak bed floor with matching trim.
New 20-inch U.S. Mags wheels are wrapped in 275/40R20 tires. The
custom interior by Darrell Burton Interiors includes a custom dash,
carpet, visors and a bench seat with built-in cup holders. An
Ididit tilt steering column is fitted with a billet steering wheel
and shifter, while Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air climate
control with in-dash factory-style vents, Nu-Relics power windows
operated by the original window handles and a RetroSound Bluetooth
stereo with kick-panel speakers complete the interior equipment.
Additional features include all-new wiring, a new AC Delco battery,
a new fuel tank with the filler relocated to the bed, new
headlights, LED taillights and new marker lights.
