This Pro-Touring custom 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova is powered by
an upgraded professionally built 6.7-liter 408ci stroker LS-based
V-8 engine mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission with overdrive.
The engine is equipped with performance cylinder heads, forged
racing pistons, a performance camshaft, new FIC 58 lb/hr fuel
injectors, a custom engine wiring harness and a large aluminum
radiator with dual electric cooling fans. Power is transferred
through a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73:1 Positraction gears and
Mark Williams axles. Additional mechanical features include a
3-inch Flowmaster exhaust system and a Rick's stainless-steel fuel
tank. The chassis is equipped with a Chris Alston Chassisworks
front clip, a custom three-link rear suspension, Air Ride
Technologies air suspension with an electronic controller, QA1
ShockWave adjustable shocks, powder-coated suspension components
throughout and power rack-and-pinion steering. Wilwood four-wheel
disc brakes provide stopping power. Exterior features include new
weatherstripping throughout, new tinted glass including the
windshield and custom vintage-style Rally wheels that retain the
original SS appearance, measuring 17 inches in front and 18 inches
in the rear. The custom leather and suede interior features power
driver and passenger seats with adjustable lumbar support. The
cabin is insulated with four boxes of Dynamat and is equipped with
Vintage Air climate control, power windows, a custom center
console, a tilt steering column, AutoMeter gauges and a Pro Ratchet
shifter. An upgraded touchscreen sound system includes Bluetooth,
XM Radio capability, navigation, a backup camera, a subwoofer and
auxiliary input, and charging ports. The trunk is fully finished.
This Nova was featured in "Mayans M.C.," Season 1, Episode 2,
appearing during the final minute of the episode.
