This 1969 Pontiac GTO is powered by a 400ci V-8 engine mated to a
three-speed TH400 automatic transmission with a 3.55 rear axle. The
400ci four-barrel engine has been gone through with attention given
where needed. A new exhaust system was completed by Competition
Muffler in Saskatoon, Canada. The factory equipment includes
heavy-duty front and rear suspension, power steering and rear
adjustable air-ride shocks with an onboard compressor and
disconnected under-dash controls. Suspension work includes new
bushings and ball joints. Power brakes feature single-piston front
discs and have been refreshed. A frame-on restoration was recently
completed, and the car was repainted Carousel Red from its original
Expresso Brown. The rear bumper is new, the rubber and door trim
gaskets have been replaced, the undercoating is new and the trunk
was refinished in factory-correct splatter paint. This GTO rides on
Torq Thrust wheels with new tires. The interior features front
bucket seats, a console, deluxe seat belts, a push-button AM radio
and a blower-type rear-window defogger. A new headliner, carpet,
front seat skins in factory-correct Parchment and a new dash pad
have been installed. Built at the Baltimore plant, it was shipped
as general zone stock to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Jan. 8, 1969.
Canadian vintage document services are included with the car and
identify it as a GTO.
