This 1965 Pontiac GTO is powered by a matching-numbers 389ci V-8
engine with a four-barrel carburetor and manual transmission. The
engine has been upgraded with Scorpion roller rockers, a mild
camshaft and an electronic ignition conversion within the original
distributor. The original Carter carburetor has been rebuilt. The
radiator was re-cored using the original tanks, and the power
steering pump and reservoir have been replaced. A body-off
nut-and-bolt restoration was completed between 2016 and 2018. The
car is equipped with power front disc brakes. It retains
all-original sheet metal with no replacement panels identified. The
black vinyl top was removed during the restoration. Exterior
updates include 15-inch Pontiac wheels, replacement wheel well
trim, door handles and GTO emblems. The interior and trunk are
original, including the original trunk paint on the underside of
the decklid. The windshield and carpet have been replaced, and the
radio was changed from the original AM unit to a Pontiac AM/FM
radio. Documentation includes PHS paperwork, the original window
sticker and Protect-O-Plate.
