This 1970 Pontiac GTO is powered by a professionally built
period-correct 455ci V-8 engine with all-new internal components,
backed by a rebuilt period-correct Muncie four-speed manual
transmission and a new clutch assembly. It is equipped with a BOP
12-bolt rear end, factory air conditioning converted from R12 to
R134a, aluminum radiator, Wilwood power disc brakes, custom
aluminum driveshaft, and custom exhaust system with an X-pipe and
turbo mufflers. Finished in PPG Deltron Midnight Blue, it rides on
17-inch Year One Rally II wheels wrapped in new tires. The black
interior was restored with components from Al Knoch Interiors and
includes a replacement dash pad, while the seats were reupholstered
approximately six years ago. The body retained approximately 90% of
its original sheet metal and chrome trim prior to restoration, with
original OEM undercoating still visible on the floor and rear wheel
wells. The restoration is documented with more than $30,000 in
parts receipts.
