This custom 1996 Ferrari F355 is powered by a twin-turbocharged
3.5-liter V-8 engine and a six-speed gated manual transmission. The
engine received a complete engine-out major service, including the
timing belt, approximately 100 miles before the custom build.
Performance upgrades include a custom twin-turbo system fabricated
by Voodoo Design featuring center-mounted Xona Rotor mirror-image
turbochargers on a custom CNC frame, 3D-printed intercoolers
mounted behind the rear tires, Tubi headers, a full ceramic-coated
Inconel exhaust with 3D-printed exhaust tips, an aftermarket oil
pump, an aftermarket oil sump and a relocated fuel filler. The
engine has fewer than 100 miles since completion of the build and
major service. The car is equipped with AccuAir E-Level air
suspension with hidden compressors mounted in the front compartment
and a controller integrated into the center console. Factory
suspension is also included. An F430 Scuderia rear diffuser is also
fitted. The custom body was hand-sculpted in clay from the owner's
design before being digitally scanned to create production molds.
Exterior modifications include front fenders and hood vents
inspired by F430 Super GT race cars, front bumper styling
influenced by the F40, reshaped rear fenders, an acrylic rear
engine cover fabricated from Boeing aircraft windshield material, a
one-off carbon-fiber rear wing with chassis-mounted uprights
modeled after the 488 GTC, a functional C-pillar cooling duct,
custom rear taillight panel venting, relocated exhaust outlets,
carbon-fiber front and side splitters extending to a flat underbody
and aircraft-grade CNC-machined button fasteners. The car rides on
one-off polished Rotiform wheels measuring 15 inches wide in the
rear with Toyo R888R tires. The interior features Momo F40-style
racing seats with sliders and side mounts, a suede Momo steering
wheel, billet carbon-fiber floor mats and prototype magnesium-base
carbon-fiber aerodynamic mirrors. The build made its international
debut at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas and was subsequently displayed
at automotive shops, retail locations and museums.
