This custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a rebuilt aluminum
6.2-liter LS3 V-8 engine equipped with a mild performance camshaft,
long-tube headers, an EFI fuel tank, a FiTech in-tank fuel pump and
Aces Fuel Injection engine management. Power is routed through a GM
4L65E automatic transmission with electronic controls. A custom
3-inch dual stainless-steel exhaust system with Flow FX mufflers,
an aluminum radiator and a brushless electric cooling fan complete
the powertrain. The Camaro rides on a TCI front subframe with a
rear torque-arm suspension system and Ridetech adjustable coilover
shocks at all four corners. A Ford 9-inch rear axle with 3.70:1
gears transfers power to the pavement. Stopping power is provided
by a Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood front disc brakes and modern
Camaro rear disc brakes. Rocket Racing wheels are fitted with
275/30R18 front and 335/30R18 rear tires. The body was refinished
in GM Wild Cherry Candy Red tri-coat following a rotisserie
restoration that included stripping the body to bare metal,
replacing panels where needed, installing rear mini-tubs and
sealing the body in epoxy primer before bodywork. Additional
exterior features include new flush-mounted front and rear glass,
all-new glass, a RainGear hidden wiper system and LED headlights,
turn signals, brake lights, marker lights and interior lighting.
The custom interior features bucket seats, a custom center console,
Dakota Digital gauges, a premium seven-speaker audio system with
wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a backup camera, a
front-facing camera, Old Air Products climate control, red ambient
lighting and an electronic parking brake. An American Autowire
wiring harness, a trunk-mounted battery with an accessible battery
disconnect switch and premium extra-thick carpet complete the
build.
