This custom 1963 Chevrolet Impala is powered by a Chevrolet 572ci
V-8 engine with a BDS blower and Bug Catcher EFI, backed by a
custom-built electronic six-speed automatic overdrive transmission
by Gear Vendors. It rides on a Chris Alston full-tube chassis with
a four-link rear end and polished front suspension featuring
rack-and-pinion steering. It is also equipped with line lock, a
transmission brake and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. The body is
channeled around the chassis, eliminating the need for air-ride to
achieve its stance. Exterior features include custom airbrushed
composite front and rear bumpers, a composite hood and a composite
trunk lid. The engine and steering column have been moved rearward
10.5 inches. The interior retains the stock padded dash fitted with
AutoMeter gauges and features full leather upholstery. This Impala
was a completely stock, fully restored show car before undergoing
its modifications and was built for street use. It has never been
raced.
