This custom 1966 Pontiac Catalina is powered by a 468ci V-8 engine,
originally a 421ci-equipped factory car, built by PMD Specialties
and paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The engine
features Ram Air exhaust manifolds, an 800-cfm Quadrajet carburetor
and a performance TH400 with a 3,000-rpm stall converter. Power is
delivered through a professionally built Ford 9-inch rear end with
3.23 Positraction. A single passenger-side drag bag is installed.
Exterior features include radio delete, dog-dish hubcaps and an
additional set of street-legal drag slicks mounted on rims. The
interior has been lightened for weight reduction by removing the
heater core, wiper motor, rear glass and rear quarter-windows, with
Lexan rear windows installed. All removed components are itemized
and included in the trunk. The sale includes an extensive build
file and a copy of the Pontiac build sheet from Pontiac Historic
Services indicating the car is a factory 421ci-equipped example.
