This 1994 GMC Vandura "Mystery Machine" re-creation is powered by
its original 4.3-liter V-6 engine paired with a four-speed
automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The van was fully
serviced during its restoration, including a tuneup and fluid
service, with the battery replaced in March 2026. Finished in blue,
green and orange with a white roof, the exterior was repainted
beginning in December 2025 and features "Mystery Machine" side
vinyl decals that pay homage to the vehicle from the "Scooby-Doo"
franchise. Additional exterior equipment includes custom 15-inch
six-hole wheels, a receiver hitch, window tint, ambulance-style
rear doors and "Zoinks" novelty plates. The interior was redone in
January 2026 with Fiat 500-sourced sport bucket seats trimmed in
black cloth with brown accents, Scooby-Doo headrest covers, Mystery
Machine backrests and blue, green and orange shag carpeting. The
rear features a custom-built entertainment center with a Samsung
television, electric fireplace, armchair, Mystery Machine blanket
and pillow, Scooby-Doo memorabilia, storage bins and functioning
overhead disco lights. Framed posters of the Mystery Inc. gang are
mounted in the left-rear interior, while additional Scooby-Doo
decorations and plush toys are located throughout the cabin. The
van was modified by builder Dave Emerson, with the project
completed in January 2026. It is also equipped with an electronic
starter and kill switch.
