For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

INTRODUCTION: This Camaro is a professionally built custom that received an incredible amount of fabrication and detail work. Replicating this car today would cost a fortune! The stunning color combination, aggressive stance, and staggered wheels give it a look that stops people in their tracks, while the LS-powered drivetrain, overdrive transmission, and fully upgraded chassis deliver the performance to back it up. It's the perfect blend of show quality style, modern comfort, and muscle car attitude.

EXTERIOR: It is absolutely slick and beautifully executed. The body has been extensively massaged to achieve a laser straight finish with a smooth, modern appearance. Nearly every unnecessary distraction was eliminated, including the side marker lights, moldings, emblems, antenna, and even the front bumper. Flush mounted Kindig-it door handles further clean up the profile, while a cowl induction hood and rear spoiler add just the right amount of muscle car attitude. Up front, the Rally Sport nose has electric headlight doors along with LED headlights and running lights. LED taillights continue the contemporary theme in the rear along with a relocated fuel filler. The convertible top is a rich black cloth, while the window moldings have been blacked out along with the smooth rear bumper. The stance is exactly what a pro touring Camaro should have. It's rolling on staggered American Racing wheels, 18 inches up front and extra wide 20s in the rear, all wrapped in high performance tires that fill the wheel wells perfectly. The result is a Camaro that looks aggressive, refined, and custom from every angle.

INTERIOR: Dang, does this interior pop! This is a complete custom creation, and there isn't a single thing inside that resembles a stock 1967 Camaro. Most surfaces are wrapped in rich red genuine leather, creating a bold, high end look that immediately grabs your attention. Starting at the front, the dashboard is a one off fabricated design upholstered in leather with perforated openings for the defroster vents. A Dakota Digital gauge system keeps the driver informed, while a touchscreen stereo powers custom kick panel speakers and additional speakers in the rear. A custom fabricated center console runs the full length of the interior, housing electronic climate controls, cup holders, and separating four exceptionally comfortable sport seats. The result is essentially a four bucket seat interior that feels more like a modern grand touring car than a classic muscle car. Plush carpeting covers the floor and is protected by matching leather floor mats. The custom contoured door panels are wrapped in leather and fitted with billet handles, while a Billet Specialties tilt steering column completes the driver's environment. To support all the modern features, the car has been completely rewired, making this interior as functional as it is stunning.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is every bit as impressive as the rest of the build. Power comes from an all aluminum LS1 V8 producing approximately 325 horsepower, delivering modern reliability, efficiency, and performance. It's dressed up with Chevrolet script valve covers for a classic appearance, while coated long tube headers help it breathe and sound great. A black billet front runner accessory drive system with serpentine pulleys, compact A/C compressor, modern alternator, and power steering gives the engine bay a clean, contemporary look. Additional upgrades include a Wilwood master cylinder, custom cold air intake, aluminum water pump, and a large aluminum radiator equipped with stainless steel hoses, an electric fan, and overflow reservoir to keep temperatures under control. The attention to detail is outstanding, with the firewall, inner fender panels, front filler panel, all smoothed and painted in a glossy finish. Black billet hood hinges provide the perfect finishing touch.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is finished nicely and provides a striking pop of red. The underside of the trunk lid is upholstered, while the compartment itself is boxed and trimmed in matching red leather with a plush red carpet lining the floor. The jamb has been smoothed for a custom appearance, a fresh weatherstrip seals everything properly.

UNDERSIDE: The undercarriage is every bit as impressive as the rest of the car, featuring a complete Checkered Racing performance front end including a custom subframe, tubular control arms, QA1 adjustable coilover gas shocks, and rack and pinion steering for precise handling. In back, the SpeedTech Torque Arm suspension includes a center torque arm, tubular trailing arms, adjustable coilover shocks, a panhard bar, and frame reinforcements to put the power down with confidence. Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes are found at all four corners. The fuel system has been upgraded to support fuel injection, and the dual exhaust with chambered mufflers and turndown tips delivers an aggressive muscle car sound. Looking up at the drivetrain, you'll find a clean aluminum oil pan, high torque starter, and a 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission. A Ford 9-l inch rear end with 4.10 posi handles the power. While the floors have been restored and finished with a durable chip guard coating for long lasting protection and a clean appearance.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: This Camaro is a true one of a kind custom that received an incredible amount of fabrication and detail work. From its sleek body and stunning interior to the LS powertrain and upgraded chassis, it was built to impress. While there are a few minor imperfections from being enjoyed about 800 miles, it remains a real showpiece that would cost a fortune to duplicate today.
