Clean California title in-hand.
This special 2017 Triumph Thruxton 1200 R Cafe Racer has just 3286
miles. The original owner ordered it with all-black engine cases,
case protectors, satin black fuel tank, fenders and side covers.
The red stitched seat and tank pads were special ordered from the
Triumph catalog along with the factory black Cafe Racer Faring,
seat cowl and black rim wheels with stainless spokes, all installed
by the selling dealer. A lot of time and money went into making
this Triumph a stealthy, classic cafe racer. Dealer documentation
includes the original sales order, list of parts, and labor
costs.
Other upgrades include special grips, Ducati spacers to get rid of
throttle slop, adjustable black Rizoma upper controls and brake
reservoir, Rizoma faring mount mirrors (Triumph bar-end mirrors
included) Modemic adaptive LED headlight (lights the direction you
are turning) with a black bezel (original headlight included) and a
lithium battery. Vintage men's Coach messenger bag is modified to
mount onto a UN1T Garage subframe and looks spot on. Can be easily
removed and used with its shoulder strap. The instruments were
replaced with new factory gauges with Arton black faces added. The
wiring harness was replaced under a factory recall and performs
perfectly. The original windscreen had been painted black so it was
swapped out for an Arton Works tinted race faring.
Engine is a1200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin rated at 96 hp and
82.6 ft-lbs (112 Nm) of torque but it feels and sounds even
stronger with the cat delete x-pipe and Vance & Hines mufflers.
Chain was upgraded to a gold o-ring type with a new black rear
sprocket and black Triumph chain guard. The 6-speed transmission
came factory ready for an aftermarket quick shifter. The
plug-n-play NextUp shifter sensor provides fast, clutch-less
upshifts (2nd thru 6th only).
The brakes & suspension are Brembo radial monobloc calipers, fully
adjustable Showa big piston forks, hlins rear shocks and hlins
adjustable steering damper. Comes with factory ABS, traction
control, and switchable ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport).
Tires are Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa from the factory and have
approx. 3.5K miles on them. Been running them at 36psi cold, front
and rear, for street riding. They have good tread left and are very
supple but are aging out, giving the next owner a clean slate to
pick their favorite rubber (plenty of great options out there
now).
This is a great riding Triumph Thruxton 1200 R that looks as fresh
as it did when it was delivered. In preparation for sale the oil
and filter were changed, brakes bled and fluid topped off, and the
chain was adjusted and lubricated. Included with the sale are
PitBull stands for front and rear, a Triumph branded garage mat,
factory manuals, original tool pouch, 2 keys, disc lock, spare
filter, oil filter tool and chain lube.
