For Sale: 1964 Chevrolet Impala in Savannah, Georgia

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1964 Chevrolet Impala two-door hardtop. Finished in black over black, this Impala presents to an honest driver standard cosmetically, and has been upgraded mechanically with a 350 cubic inch V8, a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, four-wheel power disk brakes, and a Vintage Air A/C system. It's a pleasant car to drive and comfortable in any climate thanks to cold A/C. In Georgia since the early 1980s and under present ownership since 2020.

We've always thought a pillarless two-door hardtop is such an elegant design, and this Impala looks great going down the road - although close inspection reveals a few flaws (see photos). The bumpers and trim are believed original; the body is straight and solid and the floors and rockers appear original with no evidence of rust or prior repair.

Interior likewise shows some patina but remains quite presentable overall. The factory instrumentation and warning lights are intact and working; supplemental gauges are hidden inside the glove box. A RetroSound stereo provides modern functionality (including Bluetooth pairing) and sounds great. Don't let the four-speed shifter fool you - this is a normal automatic floor shifter with a four-speed knob on top.

Under the hood is a 350 cubic inch V8 mated to a THM350 automatic transmission. Equipment includes an aluminum radiator, a Holley four-barrel carb, electronic ignition, power steering and power brakes (with disk brakes at all four corners). Runs and drives great. While this Impala is not a concours example, it's a good cruiser with a great look (and offered a price point that allows you to enjoy it without too much worry).
