GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1953 Dodge M37 for your
consideration. This M37 is powered by a 218 cubic inch flathead
6-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission with
Creeper gearing. This rugged military truck has been rebuilt in
2024 and repainted, giving it a fresh and well-sorted presentation
while retaining its original character. The restoration and updates
include new electrical throughout, new interior seats, a troop
seat, side rails, a new fuel vacuum pump, a new distributor, and
new tires and tubes installed approximately three years ago. This
M37 is also equipped with a 7-ton front winch and much more, making
this a great example of one of Dodge's iconic military utility
trucks. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with
shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to
call us with any questions or for more information.
The Dodge M37 was introduced in 1951 as a 3/4-ton, four-wheel-drive
military truck designed to replace the World War II-era Dodge WC
series. The M37 was developed with a number of improvements over
its predecessor, including a more conventional pickup-style cargo
bed and updated drivetrain components. It saw extensive service
with the United States military during the Korean War and remained
in military use for decades, with production continuing through
1968. The M37 was valued for its rugged construction, off-road
capability, and versatility, and numerous examples continued to
serve with military and civilian organizations long after their
initial military service.
